Design Director – Retail Interiors

A rare and incredible opportunity, with an award winning, industry leading agency is looking for a Design Director in Interior Design.

Designing brand environments armed with first hand research, they have a proven track record of creating globally recognised retail spaces that brings communities together.

They are seeking a Design Director who is visionary with a commercial mind and with the ability to present; taking an audience on a journey. It’s paramount as a Design Director you offer inspiration to the design team, mentoring them and enabling the Designers to thrive. 

With creativity, consumer insights and sustainability at their core, this recently B Certified company is ambitious. They want their teams to also be ambitious, offer regular 1-2-1’s and clear career paths. 

Some key responsibilities would include:

• Visibility of agency growth and contribute to client development and onboarding new brand partners.
• Control and sign off on client/project-led creative.
• Attend and provide input into all creative briefs and brainstorm sessions.
• Provide direction on all project creative with support from the Designers.
• Drive creative inspiration and innovation, ensuring all work meets our human-centric ambitions.
• Proactively provide recommendations to further enhance creative output.
• Input and support the development and improvement of the agency’s offerings and services.
• Suggest business development and methodology enhancement opportunities.
• Take a key role in creative pitches and contribute to the development and communication of the agency’s proposition.
• Serve as the primary creative point of contact for the Senior Client Team.

As a business they offer hybrid working (2 days from home and 3 in their east London studio), team away days, and quarterly inspiration trips / cultural experiences.
